What is Fatigue?

a13.jpgFatigue is defined as a condition characterized by a lessened capacity for work and reduced efficiency of accomplishment, usually accompanied by a feeling of weariness and tiredness. It can be a normal and important response to physical exertion, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep. It can be acute (lasting a month or less) or chronic (lasting from a month to six months or longer).

Fatigue is one of the most common health complaint, but one of the most favorite medical word. Whenever a patient says that they have been feeling unusually tired, or “real tired,” the doctor will usually write down that the patient presents with “fatigue.”
